Husqvarna Svartpilen 200 Spotted in India: The 200cc model of the Husqvarna Svartpilen has been spotted testing on the Indian roads for the first time. The international-spec version of the motorcycle was officially unveiled outside India back on December 12, 2019.
Based on the underpinnings of KTM Duke 200, the Husqvarna Svartpilen 200 is powered by the same 199.5cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder, fuel-injected engine that is capable to offer a maximum power of 25.8HP and a peak torque of 19.5Nm. The engine is further mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
The braking duties on the 200cc Husqvarna are handled by a 300mm disc brake at the front and a 230mm disc brake at the rear. One can expect the brand to offer the motorcycle with a 2-channel BOSCH ABS unit as standard.

The suspension bits on the motorcycles also remains identical to the Svartpilen 250 and are catered by 43mm upside telescopic forks at the front while the rear features an adjustable monoshock unit. The brand has equipped the motorcycle with the same round all-digital instrument console identical to the one offered on the 250cc variants.
The Husqvarna Svartpilen 200 features almost identical styling to the Svartpilen 250. The India-spec model of the motorcycle features a side-mounted exhaust system, opposite to the under-belly exhaust unit offered on the international-spec model of the Svartpilen 200.
Once launched in India, the Husqvarna Svartpilen 200 is expected to undercut the KTM Duke 200 by around INR 10,000, which currently sells in the market at a price tag of INR 1.77 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi).
