Honda to Reportedly Launch New 200cc Bike in India Next Month

According to a recent report from GaadiWaadi, Honda 2-Wheelers India is planning to foray into the entry-level premium motorcycle segment with the introduction of a new 200cc bike. The report further suggests that the brand will be introducing the all-new bike in India next month. Since Honda 2-Wheelers India features only CB Hornet 160R in the entry-level premium segment, introducing a 200cc street bike would be beneficial for the customers looking for an upgrade to a high-displacement Honda motorcycle. Honda two-wheelers currently feature a host of 190cc motorcycles under its portfolio, most of which are only available for sale in the Chinese markets. It is being rumoured that the India-spec 200cc motorcycle would be based on the 2020 model of the Honda CBF190R. It is expected that Honda would be increasing the displacement of this engine to around 199.5cc and will also tune the same to generate more power and torque to make the bike capable enough to compete with the rest of the 200cc street bikes available in the Indian market.
