Honda Activa 6G Spotted Testing in India: One of the most dominant and best-selling scooters in India, Activa’s 6th generation version has been spied testing at ARAI, Pune. The new generation Honda Activa is expected to be launched at the Auto Expo 2020. Complied with BSVI emission norms, the Activa 6G features a few cosmetic as well as mechanical upgrades, despite being carrying a heavy camouflage. In addition to the suspension tweaks, the front of the scooter gets a disc brake while the rear still carries a drum brake. The Honda Activa 6G will also feature CBS for complying the safety norms and gets a redesigned grab rail at the back. Though, the tail section seems to be borrowed from the current version of the Honda Activa. Article image As the emission norms are going to switch from BSIV to BSVI, the Honda Activa 6G is expected to be equipped with fuel injection and the brand will disregard the carburettor for good. The ongoing version, Activa 5G is powered by a 109.19cc, air-cooled engine capable of churning a maximum power of 8HP while good for a maximum torque of 9Nm. The all-new 6th generation Honda Activa is expected to get a slightly higher price tag when launched. The BSVI emission norms are expected to be kicked in the country in the year 2020 and pertaining to the new rules and emission standards, major brands will be upgrading their bikes and scooters with the same, thus offering better fuel efficiency and performance.
