Hero Karizma ZMR Discontinued in India: Hero Karizma ZMR was one of the more cherished products from the brand that witnessed a cult following, though the introduction of other motorcycles in its segment made it lose its charm over time. The brand officially disclosed back in July 2019 that they will not be discontinuing the product even after witnessing zero sales for the past few months and the motorcycle will continue to be delivered in the overseas markets. To the contrary, the brand has recently removed the Hero Karizma ZMR from its official website signifying the end of the era for the mighty sports machine. The motorcycle posted zero units in sales back in the mid-2019 though those numbers were only specific for the Indian market and the motorcycle was still going strong for the export markets. In addition to the Karizma, the Hero Xtreme 150 and Achiever 150 are some of the other motorcycles under the brand’s portfolio that are exported worldwide where there are no rules for a mandatory ABS on the 125cc+ bikes. Considering the enthusiasm, if the brand ever plans on bringing back the Hero Karizma in the Indian market, it will be an entirely new product with all premium body parts and will offer better performance with a BS6-compliant engine. For now, the hopes of the resurrection of the mighty motorcycle have officially come to an end. To jog your memory, the Hero Karizma ZMR was powered by a 223cc, single-cylinder engine that is capable of offering maximum power of 20BHP @ 8000 rpm and a peak torque of 19.7Nm @ 6500 rpm. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox. Previously known as the flagship motorcycle from the brand, the Karizma ZMR was available in the market at a price tag of INR 1.08 lakhs (ex-showroom).
