Hero HX200R Could be the Production Name of Full-Faired Xtreme 200R

Based on the underpinnings of the Hero Xtreme 200R, a new fully-faired sports bike, expected to be a new Hero product surfaced recently through an Instagram channel. Though the video revealed only minor details of the bike, the speculations suggest that the bike will be named as Hero HX200R. The new sports bike is expected to compete in the market with the likes of Bajaj Pulsar RS200. The bike features a disc brake with ABS at the front just like the Xtreme 200R. The sports bike also features Xtreme 200R inspired black alloy wheels. Hero HX200R is expected to be powered by a 200cc, air-cooled engine capable of churning a maximum power of 18.1 Bhp and maximum torque of 17.1 Nm. It is likely to feature a 5-speed transmission and the engine is also expected to get fuel injection as standard.

When it comes to the front fairing of the production-ready sports bike, it does gives a maxi-scooter effect though, the heavy fairing and the other detailing looks quite interesting. The fully-faired sibling of the Xtreme 200R gets side-mounted indicators on the fairing and the motorcycle is expected to get an all-LED headlamp. Considering the fact that the video features a fully-faired production ready motorcycle, Hero is expected to launch the sports bike sooner than expected. Coming to the price tag, the sports bike, likely to be named Hero HX200R will get much more affordable pricing as compared to the Pulsar RS200. We expect Hero to price the sports bike around INR 1 lakh (ex-showroom).
