BS6 Hero Splendor iSmart Price Increased by INR 2200

BS6 Hero Splendor iSmart Price Increased: According to recent reports, the price tag of the BS6-compliant model of the Splendor iSmart has been increased by a total of INR 2200. It is one of the first motorcycles from the brand that was launched with a BS6-compliant engine back in November 2019. With the onset of the BS6 emission norms from April 1, 2020, Hero has surprisingly increased the price of the motorcycle. The brand has introduced the iSmart variant of the Hero Splendor with premium bits that differentiate it from the standard Splendor variant available in the Indian markets. The increase of INR 2200 on its official price tag concludes to a total of 3.4% though, considering the difference between the BS4 price tag and the new BS6 price tag, the motorcycle is costly by almost INR 10,000 (17%).

[caption id="attachment_553875" align="aligncenter" width="926"] BS6 Hero Splendor iSmart Price Increased by INR 2200[/caption] To meet the BS6 emission norms, the brand has replaced the 110cc engine on the BS4 model with a 113cc fuel-injected engine with i3s technology that is now capable of offering maximum power of 9 Bhp @ 7500 rpm and a peak torque of 9.89 Nm @ 5500 rpm. The power output of the updated motorcycle has been reduced a little while the torque figure has been improved. The BS6 Hero Splendor iSmart is available to the customers in three colour schemes namely Red, Grey and Blue. The addition of a greener engine has resulted in 88% reduction in the NOx emissions. The commuter bike has a seat height of 799mm while the wheelbase stands at 1270mm. The motorcycle gets a disc brake at the front while the rear features a drum brake unit. The suspension duties are handled by conventional forks at the front and a twin shock absorber at the rear.
