Hero Destini 125 was officially unveiled at the Auto Expo 2018 and now, India’s largest two-wheeler brand has presented October 22 as the launch date for their most powerful scooter ever. Destini 125 was expected to arrive with the Duet 125 nameplate earlier as both scooters share a lot of similarities in terms of design and side profile. The expected price tag of INR 50,000-55,000 also makes sure that it clearly undercuts all rivals with an amount worth consideration. Honda Activa 125, the closest rival to Destini 125, is highly overpriced in comparison. Suzuki Access is still within easily reachable limits. Article image The use of chrome at perfect locations make Destini 125 more premium than other Hero scooters in the lineup. It will use Hero’s start-stop technology and side stand indicator light to bring more fuel efficiency and safety into the package. The model seen at most occasions is without a front disc brake, hinting this to be the middle spec variant with alloy wheels as standard and lack of disc brake. The top model may feature both the parts for an effective ownership experience. The steel rims from Duet 110 will serve the purpose on the base spec Destini, hence resulting in the segment shaking price tag. Article image Hero MotoCorp currently retails 3 scooters and 18 motorcycles in their lineup. Most of them fall under the Splendor, Passion and Glamour series of bikes, with each having around 3-6 variants. Hero uses the new 110cc engine for both Maestro Edge and Duet while Pleasure comes with a smaller 102c engine. The motorcycle lineup, mostly filled with reliable commuters, use either the new 110cc engine or the older 97.2cc motor for class-leading mileage. The newly launched Hero Xtreme 200R is the most value for money motorcycle in their lineup, carrying single-channel ABS and INR 89,900 price tag. Images Source
