CFMoto 250SR Officially Revealed; India Launch Uncertain

CFMoto 250SR, the all-new quarter-litre motorcycle has been recently revealed by the brand. The fully-faired motorcycle was spotted last year in China and has been officially unveiled at a price tag of CNY 18,580 (INR 1.92 lakh approx) for the CBS version while the ABS version is priced at CNY 21,680 (INR 2.24 lakh approx). With powerful ergonomics and a splendid design language, the CFMoto 250SR justifies the “SR” name tag which stands for Sports Racing. Coming to the design language, the front fascia of the motorcycle has been equipped with sleek LED headlight unit which is further mated to LED DRLs. The motorcycle has been further equipped with a split-seat setup while the body panels flow to the rear giving a high-rise profile to the sports machine. The customers can avail the CFMoto 250SR in two colour schemes namely Starlight Black and Starlight White. Powering the motorcycle is a 249.2cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that is capable of offering maximum power of 27.4HP @ 9,750 rpm and a peak torque of 22Nm @ 7,500 rpm. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The braking duties on the CFMoto 250SR are handled by a 292mm petal disc brake at the front while the rear has been equipped with a petal disc. The suspension setup is handled by USD forks at the front and a monoshock unit at the rear. The motorcycle gets a wheelbase of 1360mm while the seat height stands at 780mm. The sports machine has been equipped with a fuel tank capacity of 12-litres while the rider can operate the 250SR in two riding modes namely Eco and Sport. It is one of the most feature-rich motorcycles from the brand that would be immensely popular in the Indian market, though the reports suggest that the brand will be launching the CFMoto 300SR in India that has already been listed on the brand’s global website. Still, there has been no official confirmation received on the same. The recently launched CF Moto 250SR will compete against the likes of Suzuki GSX-250R, KTM RC 250, Aprilia GPR 250, Yamaha YZF-R25, and the Kawasaki Ninja 250SL in the international markets.
