Benda Asura 400, the much-hyped Chinese streetfighter motorcycle was initially unveiled as a concept back in March 2019. Now, the production variant is on sale in the Chinese markets and it is available to the customers in two variants. The entry-level variant is available at a price tag of 27,800 yuan (INR 3.27 lakhs, approximate) while the high-end variant is available at a price tag of 29,800 yuan (INR 3.50 lakhs, approximate).

The impressive design language of the motorcycle is capable of putting brands like KTM, Kawasaki and Yamaha to shame. The brand has carried forward the design language shown in the concept variant to its final production form. The front fascia of the motorcycle features a beast-inspired outlook with a twin piece all-LED headlight. The centre profile of the streetfighter has been raised while the massive fuel tank unit further adds to its aggressive character.

The overall sharp body design of the Benda Asura 400 sets it apart from all other conventional bikes available in the domestic markets. The motorcycle has been equipped with a fully digital LCD instrument panel at the middle of the handlebar unit while the overall body structure of the beast has been tested harshly to ensure stable performance.

Powering the motorcycle is a 389cc, parallel twin-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that is capable of churning out a maximum power of 36.2HP and a peak torque of 32Nm. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed transmission. The Asura 400 is capable of accelerating from 0-100 kmph in just 7 seconds while the top speed is limited at 160 kmph.

The ground clearance of the Chinese streetfighter stands at 155mm while the fuel tank capacity stands at 16-litres. The motorcycle features disc brakes at either side mated to a dual-channel ABS unit as standard. The suspension duties are handled by USD forks at the front while the rear comes mated to a monoshock absorber.

There isn’t any official confirmation on the launch of Benda Asura 400 in the Indian markets though if launched, it will indirectly compete against the single-cylinder street bikes like the KTM 390 Duke and the Bajaj Dominar 400. While in the international markets, it competes directly with the 2-cylinder Kawasaki Z400 and the Honda CB400R.
