The motorcycle continues to offer a maximum power of 24.5HP @ 9,750 rpm while the peak torque has increased by 0.1Nm and now stands at 18.7Nm @ 8,000 rpm. The engine remains mated to a six-speed transmission. With the addition of a catalytic converter and few other mechanical bits to make the sportbike BS6-compliant, the overall weight of the motorcycle has increased by 2kgs. The microscopic increase in the torque by 0.1Nm is not effective in increasing the performance while the additional weight may reduce it further. Apart from offering a BS6-compliant engine, the updated BS6 Bajaj Pulsar RS200 remains identical to its BS4 counterpart when it comes to the cosmetic bits and the graphics. The suspension duties continue to be handled by conventional telescopic forks at the front while the rear features a nitrox gas-charged monoshock unit. As per the official website of Bajaj Auto, the updated motorcycle is now equipped with a 2-channel ABS unit as standard.
