Bajaj Dominar 400 is preparing for an upgrade, leaving the tag of an affordable sports cruiser for this new avatar that supports premium silver finished USD forks and new double barrel exhaust. Dominar is currently available for INR 1.63 lakh for the dual-channel ABS variant, leaving us with a safe assumption of a price tag under INR 1.80 lakh for the upgraded 2019 model of Dominar 400. The invisible mechanical changes will be listed only after the official reveal of the bike in the coming weeks. The use of USD forks will improve the handling factor on 2019 Bajaj Dominar, providing buyers with better high-speed stability and low-speed riding comfort. The model spotted here might also be equipped with ride by wire and DOHC engine like the 390 Duke, pushing the premium quotient up by one more step. The requirements for the upcoming emission norms may also be fulfilled through 2019 Bajaj Dominar as most reports claim that the new exhaust will help Bajaj claim BS6 compliant status this year. Currently, the Dominar is powered by a 373.2cc, single cylinder engine, producing 35HP and 35Nm of torque. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox with a slipper clutch as standard. The engine, however, takes BMW G310R and Apache RR  310 into consideration of rivalry. Bajaj Dominar was introduced in three new shades and upgrading those may not be one step among others in the company plans. The base variant was earlier priced at INR 1.48 lakh, leaving a limited number of buyers with the non-ABS model for the flagship Bajaj product.
