Ather 450 comes with class-leading features like 7-inch touchscreen as its instrument console, parking assist function with a reverse mode, front 200mm disc, rear 190mm disc and LED lighting. In terms of safety, the scooter features a combined braking system, along with regenerative braking for a better overall range. Ather 450 is powered by a DC electric motor, producing 7.2 BHP of maximum power and 20.5 Nm of torque. The 2.4 kWh Li-ion battery is good for 107 kilometers of overall range from this scooter.
Ather 340, the second product after 450, comes with 6 BHP of output and 1.92 kWh battery for 86 kilometers of claimed range. Ather Grid, their public charging station network, is now under construction in Chennai. The brand is expecting to launch the first dealership in the city in 2019. The network will grow in a phased manner, adding major cities in their first attempt, and followed by Tier 2 cities in the second. The launch of exclusive electric products can help cut down the CO2 emission from petrol vehicles.
