Ather Energy, a Bengaluru based start-up recently launched two feature packed electric scooters by the name Ather 340 and Ather 450. The e-scooters guarantee promising power with a single charge of battery at a price tag of INR 1.09 Lakh and INR 1.24 Lakh (on-road Bengaluru) respectively. The scooters are only available for sale in Bangalore, though majority of cities will soon get the dealerships. The company has claimed both the scooters have been built from scratch adding to their outstanding performance and hassle-free ownership, thus, justifying the heavy price tag for both.

The Ather 340 is powered by 4.4kW , BLDC electric motor that is capable of producing a 20 Nm of torque and the Ather 450 is equipped with 5.4kW, BLDC motor that is capable of producing a maximum torque of 20.5 Nm, both challenging the power output of some major 200cc motorcycles. The top speed of 70 kmph for Ather 340 and 80 kmph for Ather 450 have have made them two of the fastest electric scooters in India. Both the electric scooters are equipped with lithium-ion battery that charges to 80% in the matter of an hour only delivering an optimum performance. The faster charging allows you to cover a 60 kilometres by Ather 340 and 75 km by Ather 450 which is quite astounding and pocket friendly.
Coming to the instrument console, both the scooters features 7-inch digital touchscreen that supports satellite navigation, remote diagnostics and many more exciting details. Suspension duties are taken care by telescopic forks at the front and monoshock at the rear. Both Ather 340 and Ather 450 gets rear and front disc brakes from ByBre. The revolutionized electric scooters comes with Ather One plan worth INR 700 that is included in the price range that allows the customers with free public and home charging, regular maintenance, assistance and unlimited data services.
