A recent report in the automotive industry claims that the upcoming Aprilia RS660 will make an official debut with its production version at EICMA 2019. The lightweight machine is expected to arrive in India in 2020, using a powerful engine with values taking a direct competition to the output of Duke 790’s engine. The Aprilia RS660 was first seen at EICMA 2018 and now, the official photos of the concept motorcycle are out for the fans. The brand will also debut the active aerodynamic technology with automatic adjustment of winglets through the model. However, this feature may stay exclusive to the track-spec race version. The motorcycle is equipped with Brembo brakes, front USD forks and much more as standard. Article image The new engine details are not completely official yet. Aprilia is using the 1100cc engine to carve out a twin-cylinder engine, clearly using two of its cylinders in the new RS660 SuperSport motorcycle. The engine is a gem, producing 105 HP of maximum power within a motorcycle that weighs just 160 kg. The addition of electronic aids will further help in performance refinement, resulting in a champion that is cost effective, powerful and beautifully designed above all. Aprilia is yet to announce all the remaining details for the performance section. The light supersport chassis is another great part of the Aprilia RS660 SuperSport as the weight falls right in the category of lightweight 250cc bikes. Article image The front fascia of the concept uses dual headlight design in place of the iconic three headlights on Aprilia RSV4 and Tuono 1100. However, the centre connecting part clears that the brand will keep its iconic facial expressions alive on the model. The exhaust used here is compact, smart and totally in line with the design. The single seat design will definitely turn into a practical version in the production form of RS660 Concept.
