Benelli Tornado 302 (expected to be known as Tornado 300 for India) is a fully faired motorcycle (based on TNT 300), has been planned to be launched in the Indian market around the festive season (Diwali 2016). The news has been confirmed by DSK Motowheels, the company that assembles Benelli and Hyosung bikes in India. The motorcycle was first displayed at EICMA 2015 and got the attention of thousands of fans worldwide.
Sharing the major components with TNT 300, the engine performance of Tornado 300 may stay the same while some efforts would be done to overcome the effect of weight gain. The motorcycle uses a 300cc, 2-cylinder engine producing 36 BHP @ 12,000 RPM of maximum power with maximum torque of 27 Nm @ 9,000 RPM. It comes mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox.

Festive Season Launch for Benelli Tornado 300
The newcomer will compete with Yamaha R3, Hyosung GT250R, and Kawasaki Ninja 300, which are twin cylinder and priced under INR 4 lakh. Tornado 300 is expected to be priced around INR 3.20 lakhs (ex-showroom). It is expected that the performance would be significantly improved in order to attain a competitive 0-100 kmph sprint time for the motorcycle as the TNT 300 takes nearly 8.38 seconds to complete the same. The company plans to expand its motorcycle manufacturing capacity as the current lineup uses a single shift and operates under two assembly lines, one for the engine and other for the motorcycle. Even the higher capacity motorcycle, TRK 502/Leoncino Scrambler would launch soon after the Tornado 300 event.Benelli Tornado 300/302 Infographic
