2017 Bajaj Pulsar NS200 Fi Expected to be Launched in India by January-End

If a report from IBTimes is to be believed, 2017 Bajaj Pulsar NS200 Fi will make its Indian entry in the last week of January 2017. NS200 has been in a debatable state since its silent production halt for the carburetor fed model. The time when it actually started growing popular among the masses, Bajaj Auto simply pushed AS series instead of the naked street fighter. IBTimes reports that the company has no plans for further stretching its launch date in India. But as of now, Bajaj has not confirmed anything officially about the same.

2017 Bajaj Pulsar NS200 Fi to be Launched in India by January-End

The motorcycle is powered by the same 199.5 cc, liquid cooled engine but now carries fuel injection in place for the old carburetor setup. The power values are said to remain unchanged, producing a max of 23.17 BHP and 18.3 Nm of torque. It comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox and would claim a price tag of around INR 1 lakh. When it was earlier sold in India, KTM 200 Duke was the next 200 cc machine on the list while this time, Bajaj has a right competitor.

TVS Apache RTR 200 was launched in India last year and strictly rivals Bajaj Pulsar NS200 in every guise. It has even been placed around the same price segment and most probably at a lower point for sure. As Bajaj is raising the safety standards on its bikes, NS200 Fi is expected to carry an optional ABS for an extra cost. The front 280 mm of disc brake can be replaced with a bigger 300 mm on the 2017 model while other dimensions are expected to remain the same.

The motorcycle was recently showcased at a dealer event in Turkey and came with all new, dual tone shades for the exterior. The new colors will have a nice combination of Matt and Gloss finish. The event even had a smaller Pulsar NS160 on the display, carrying a modified engine from the AS150 and sharing its design and frame with the Pulsar NS200 Fi. However, there has been no news about the launch of such a product in India till date.
