With Bajaj’s earlier plan on offering urban mobility solutions in the local as well as the International market, the leaked images you see here are most probably of the upcoming Bajaj Urbanite electric scooter. Keeping the design close to the first rendered sketches of Bajaj scooter under the Urbanite brand that surfaced way back in February this year, the fully camouflaged test mules features twin slanting tail lamps, a wide seat, and a pillion grab handle. As seen in the images, the newly spied scooter also features foldable rear footrest. Though there hasn’t been any confirmation on the transmission, the Bajaj Urbanite is expected to be equipped with a CVT transmission. According to some of the reports, the Urbanite scooter will be launching in the Indian market by the end of the year 2019. Some of the expected features of the Bajaj Urbanite includes a curvy front profile, stylish alloy wheels, a single-sided front suspension, and a comfortable single piece saddle. The brand might also introduce a fully digital instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity and navigation features in order to compete in the market with the likes of the upcoming Honda Activa 6G.
