Bajaj Auto's February 2024 Sales Report: Growth in 2W and CV Segments

Bajaj Auto Limited, a leading player in the Indian automotive industry, has showcased remarkable growth in its sales performance for February 2024. The company witnessed a substantial year-on-year (YoY) increase in sales driven by strong demand both in the domestic and export markets. Sales have increased as a result of Bajaj ability to provide products that appeal to customers and adjust to changing market conditions.

Year-on-Year Growth

In February 2024, Bajaj Auto recorded a 24% YoY growth in total sales, with 3,46,662 units sold compared to 2,80,226 units in February 2023. A strong market position and loyal clients are indicated by their impressive development. Despite this YoY growth, there was a marginal month-on-month (MoM) decline from January 2024's total sales of 3,56,010 units, indicating a slight fluctuation in market demand.

Two-Wheeler Segment Performance

The two-wheeler segment witnessed significant growth, with domestic sales increasing by 42% YoY to 1,70,527 units in February 2024. This rush in sales can be attributed to the success of Bajaj Auto's Pulsar range which has been a popular choice among consumers. However, there was a slight dip in MoM sales compared to January 2024, when the company sold 1,93,350 units.

Commercial Vehicle Segment Performance

Bajaj Auto's commercial vehicle segment also witnessed growth, with domestic sales increasing by 10% YoY to 36,367 units in February 2024. This growth was complemented by a significant 31% YoY increase in exports, with 15,611 units transferred overseas during the same period. Bajaj Auto holds an important market share in the commercial vehicle industry as seen by its good performance.

Year-to-Date (YTD) Performance

For the year-to-date (YTD) period from April 2023 to February 2024, Bajaj Auto reported positive growth in both the two-wheeler and commercial vehicle segments. Domestic two-wheeler sales grew by 25% YTD to 20,67,581 units, while exports declined by 13% to 13,46,457 units. Despite the decline in exports, total two-wheeler sales increased by 7% YTD to 34,14,038 units.

Similarly, the commercial vehicle segment witnessed robust growth, with domestic sales increasing by 60% YTD to 4,26,749 units. However, exports of commercial vehicles declined by 17% YTD to 1,44,242 units.
