2017 Audi A3 Launched in India @ INR 30.50 lakh
2017 Audi A3 has been officially launched in India for INR 30.50 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). Audi India has updated the petrol motor from 1.8 liter naturally aspirated to 1.4 liter turbocharged on the new car. The same replacement was done on the A4 as Audi plans to cut on the emissions by using smaller turbocharged engine. The 1396 cc, four cylinder motor is good for 150 HP and 250 Nm of torque. The engine is offered with 7-speed S-tronic dual clutch gearbox.

The second engine remains the same 2.0 liter, turbocharged diesel unit that is good for 143 HP and 320 Nm of torque. The same engine produces higher power values on the A4 as they use a different tune and gearbox for the bigger car. 2017 Audi A3 uses a 6-speed S-Tronic automatic gearbox on its 1968 cc engine. While the claimed mileage of diesel engine on the new A3 is 20.38 kmpl, the new turbocharged petrol motor is good for 19.20 kmpl of certified mileage. The car was first launched in September 2014 and got itself a popular place among first time luxury car buyers. The fresh new face on the 2017 A3 is quite appealing and gets revised LED headlights with dynamic indicators. The frame and dimensions of the car remains the same as the old generation A3. The powerful diesel option for the A3 comes at a price tag of INR 32.30 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), carrying just INR 1.80 lakh of raise over the petrol model.
