338cc Harley-Davidson Streetfighter Prototype Officially Unveiled

After a recent alliance with a Chinese firm Zhejiang Qianjiang, Harley-Davidson is all set to enter the premium small displacement motorcycle segment, as confirmed by the brand a few months ago. As per the newly formed alliance, the two brands will be co-developing two different motorcycles, first of the two being a 338cc Harley-Davidson Streetfighter. It will be the most-affordable product by the popular American brand. The motorcycle will be manufactured in China and it will also be exported to the other parts of the world. Harley-Davidson took an opportunity of alliance with the Chinese company Zhejiang Qianjiang, considering their ability to meet the customer requirements as well as having an established supply base. According to the official prototype photos, the Harley-Davidson streetfighter will be powered by a 338cc twin-cylinder liquid-cooled engine. As per the recently revealed prototype of the upcoming motorcycle, it gets a quite modern streetfighter look which contradicts the traditional cruiser styling used by the brand for the rest of the portfolio. It is the first lightweight and compact motorcycle from the brand that is bound to attract the premium motorcycle buyers in Asia. The most affordable motorcycle from Harley-Davidson gets a trellis frame while the all-LED headlight and tail light setup gives it a distinguished stance. The suspension duties are handled by upside-down front forks and the motorcycle gets an adjustable monoshock at the rear. As far as the braking is concerned, the streetfighter gets dual petal disc brakes at the front and a single disc brake at the rear end. According to the reports, the 338cc motorcycle will be launching in China by the end of 2020. The motorcycle is expected to get its official debut in India in the year 2021 though, no official details have been given yet. When launched in the market, the 338cc Harley-Davidson Streetfighter will compete with the likes of Benelli TNT 300, Yamaha MT-03, Kawasaki Z400, KTM 390 Duke, Honda CB300R, and the BMW G310R. The Harley Streetfighter is expected to get an ex-showroom price tag of around INR 3.50-4.00 lakh.
