200cc TVS Adventure Bike in the Making; To Be Based on Apache

TVS recently introduced four motorcycles to the Indian two-wheeler market. The Apache RTR 160 4V received a performance boost, with the current engine updated to generate about 2 horsepower more, making it the most powerful bike in its class. Also, in August, TVS Motor launched the RR310 with the 'Built To Order' platform, offering two bespoke packs. The Raider 125, though, was the brand's largest launch of the year. TVS recently also launched the limited-edition Apache RTR 165 RP, which is more powerful than the Yamaha R15 V4.

Following that, the brand recently also launched the all-new Jupiter, which gets Ntorq's 124.8cc air-cooled engine and rivals the Suzuki Access 125 and Honda Activa 125, among other scooters in this range in the country. While the launch of the Raider 125 opens the door for a sportier Apache 125 to compete against the Bajaj Pulsar NS 125 in the near future, it is anticipated to introduce its first-ever adventure motorbike next. According to the sources, TVS Motor may debut a 200cc adventure bike based on the Apache RTR 200 4V.

With the adventure space's appeal among consumers gradually rising, we may anticipate TVS to seize the chance and come up with a specialised adventure tourer. The Apache RTR 200 4V platform has already proved to be sporty and agile. The same 197.75 cc single-cylinder oil-cooled Fi engine that produces 20.82 PS and 17.25 Nm in the Apache RTR 200 4V will be used in the Adventure 200 4V. Talking about the features of the current naked streetfighter’s features, it has three riding modes.

Among its other features are the Glide through technology, Showa front suspension, dual-channel ABS system, Bluetooth connectivity, slipper clutch, and LED DRLs. Aside from a long-travel suspension system and optimised gear ratios for off-roading, the adventure tourer may also have a variety of features. However, it is only an expectation based on sources' reports and the company has not announced anything officially yet.
