As a younger rider, I’m actually excited about this. What it demonstrates is that RE is ready to innovate, take risk. It’s definitely a big plus for me that it’s electric, and it’s the only thing out there that looks like this. In my age group, it could certainly do some head turning.

I think its a step in the right direction but they’ll have to nail the marketing. If they can make it a cool, eco-friendly urban commuter with a bit of heritage, they could catch on with younger buyers who may not have otherwise considered RE.

It’s a gamble, but maybe it’ll work. Pricing and performance will be the key. If they can keep that unique RE character, and make it affordable and practical for urban youth, they might just crack the younger market. They will, however, need to support this with a great social media presence and influencer partnerships.

Absolutely! I start to take the long way home just to take in the ride and the chrome. Destination is not what it is anymore.

Having a Chrome Edition made me a much more patient rider. This bike can’t be rushed, so I’ve learned to enjoy a slower pace.

I actually ride less now. I have been taking the bike out more for special occasions but it's more of a showpiece I ride now.

It's a breeze in the city. You have a great view of traffic in an upright seating position and it’s nimble enough to weave through jams.

In stop and go traffig, the weight can be a bit much. That heavy clutch will get your left hand a workout.

It’s actually pretty good once you get used to it. A torquey engine means you don’t have to shift much in slow traffic.

It's okay, but not great. The wide turning radius can be a real pain when you need to make a U turn, or when you have to park in a tight spot.

It’s perfect for city riding in my opinion. It’s not too speedy so you don’t need to constantly fight the urge to go faster, and it’s comfortable for short hops.

Each year it's getting tougher. With older models, they aren't as helpful, and OEM parts are becoming a real challenge to find.
