Are you kidding me? It's totally underpowered! I rode one and it felt like I was riding a glorified scooter. Other brands will give you way more bang for your buck for the same price.

I moved up from a scooter to the FZS FI V3.0 and I find it to be powerful enough. It might not be enough for experienced riders but it’s a solid starting point for newbies.

The thing is, Yamaha tuned it for fuel efficiency. You can’t have it all: Insane power, great mileage, and low price. Instead, they decided to concentrate on what's most important for most commuters.

I have ridden the Apache RTR 160 4V and FZ. The FZ is smoother, more refined, but the Apache definitely feels peppier. It's a trade-off, really.

Underpowered? Maybe on paper. In real world riding, it has enough grunt to keep up with traffic and do a little bit of touring. You just have to ride it.

I think people are just too caught up in numbers. On paper, the FZ might have less power, but it has a nice torque curve that makes it feel responsive where it counts – in the low and mid range.

I am now three years into my FZ, and it's still running strong. Everything was fine, just regular maintenance. It’s solid build quality, especially compared to some other bikes I’ve owned.

Plastics are a bit of a let down. After about a year my tank shroud started to rattle. It’s not a deal breaker, but it is annoying for a bike at this price point.

For the most part, it’s held up pretty well for me. I haven't had any mechanical problems and the paint still looks good. It will treat you right if you just keep up with the service schedule.

I've got mixed feelings. There’s no doubt the engine and chassis are rock solid, but some of the smaller bits such as switches and the instrument cluster feel a bit cheap.

My FZ has seen hell and back – daily commutes, weekend trips, you name it. It's been surprisingly durable apart from normal wear and tear.

It has decent build quality, but no better. Earlier than I expected I have had to replace a few parts. It is good, but you shouldn't expect premium quality for the price.

I believe it all comes down to how you deal with it. I've been fine because I'm meticulous about maintenance on mine. You'll probably have issues if you don't take care of it.

I've done a few 300km rides on my FZ, and it's not as bad as you think. It really helps with the fatigue when you are upright.

It’s fine for short trips, but beyond 2 hours my backside starts to complain. Stock seat is too firm for long haul.

I got a gel seat and it's a whole new story. Can ride for hours with no problems. It really is all about personalizing it to you.

For this segment, it's a pretty good bike. It’s no touring machine, but we can sure make 4-5 hour rides without too much of an issue.

It's comfortable enough, but there's no wind protection on highways. At higher speeds you get blown around a lot.

I find it comfortable enough. The trick is to get up and take breaks every hour or so. It's not made for Iron Butt challenges, but it'll take you there.
