Will the Pulsar Adventure be better or worse regarding maintenance and long term ownership experience than normal Pulsars?

If you own an adventure style bike (even one based on a 125cc platform), you might find that it comes with different challenges than a standard street bike. When you’re dealing with dust and potentially off road use, the Pulsar Adventure could have components that need to be serviced more often. You might be needing to change out stuff like air filters, suspension stuff, probably more robust chain and sprocket sets and stuff than that. In addition, the ADV style bike has specialized parts and it will be difficult to get the part as well as expertise to service the bike. This could be particularly important in the case of buyers accustomed to the ease and the wide support network of standard Pulsar models.

How Bajaj trains their service network will be the key. It shouldn't be any harder to maintain than a regular Pulsar if they do it right.

There could actually be a way better solution in the long run. They might not be as beefy as a standard commuter, but the beefier components might just make them better suited to Indian roads.

Crash damage is what I'm more worried about. If you drop it, those plastic ADV fairings will be expensive to replace.

Especially if people actually take it off road, the suspension might need more attention. That’s true for any ADV bike, though.

I bet it'll be fine. Most of it will probably be easy to service, as they will probably share the core engine and electronics with other Pulsars.

The real issue is going to be parts availability. Finding specific ADV components down the line might be a pain if it doesn't sell well.

You're being too pessimistic. Bajaj knows their market. It will be simple enough, they say, for the average mechanic to handle.

It'll be a nightmare to maintain I think. Those extra bits are only going to lead to more things to break and replace.
