Will the Nissan Terra lose its value very fast, is this a concern for long term ownership?

by Ashutoshover 1 year ago0 views8 comments
Many car buyers, who are considering an upgrade or will sell their car after a few years, will want to know about resale value. A relatively new model in the market like the Nissan Terra has generated discussions when it comes to the resale value of the car, and compared to the Toyota Fortuner or the Mitsubishi Montero Sport. Vehicle resale value is dependent on many factors such as brand reputation reliability and market demand. Nissan's fluctuating standing in the marketplace and the competitive nature of the mid size SUV market however, has some potential buyers concerned about how well the Terra will maintain its value over time. Debates about the long term value proposition of choosing the Terra over its more established rivals often follow this topic.

I believe people overestimate how much resale value there is between brands. Toyota does hold value better, but the Terra isn’t going to be worthless in a few years.

I don’t really care about resale value, I’m going to keep my car forever. In the long run the Terra’s comfort and features make it worthwhile for me.

It's not bad resale value, but the resale value may not be as strong as a Toyota. Also, you'll probably get a better price on a new Terra than you would on its rivals, which might make up for any depreciation difference.

So far, Terras are holding their value pretty well in the used market. They seem to be in good demand.

When you buy a car, resale value shouldn't be your first concern. If it works for you and you like the Terra, then go for it. Don’t worry about selling it, enjoy the car.

I can’t say for sure yet, but I think the Terra will hold its value better than some people think it will. The SUV is a capable and comfortable one that is becoming popular.

The resale value is honestly a bit concerning. Nissan doesn’t have a reputation for reliability as well as Toyota, so I expect the Terra will depreciate faster than Fortuner.

Resale value wouldn't be something to lose sleep over. The Terra is a good solid SUV and if you take care of it, it should retain its value.
