Will the Mahindra BE.05’s fast charging actually make a difference in the real world?
The Mahindra BE.05 can also charge quickly with impressive fast charging claims of 20 to 80% in just 20 minutes using a DC fast charger. On paper, this sounds great, but how much of a game changer is it? It’s only useful if you can get your hands on compatible chargers, which aren’t widely available in India yet. But there is also the question of how often the average driver would actually need to use fast charging in his or her day-to-day life. But is this feature more of a marketing gimmick than a practical benefit for most EV owners who charge at home overnight? In other words, if you don’t have access to an outlet at home but need to charge, it could be a huge advantage. I think it is worth talking about whether this feature is worth a price premium and will actually make a difference with how people buy.
It's a game-changer for sure! It’s a huge peace of mind booster even if you don’t use it daily, knowing you can charge up quickly on long trips. That will help a lot of people get past their range anxiety.
