It will depend on how good it is compared to the KTM RC 200. The KTM has many buyers who stretch their budget for it. It could be a big hit if the RS250 can bring those thrills for a lower price.

I think it will be down to the character of the bike. If it is just a rebadged Dominar with fairings, it may not make it. If they have developed a proper sports bike with a rev happy engine and aggressive ergonomics, they will attract a lot of young riders.

After-sales service and spare parts availability should not be forgotten. They have a wide network, which could help them have an edge over some of the competitors, particularly in smaller towns and cities.

It's all about the pricing. In any case, if Bajaj can undercut the competition by an enormous margin yet still have the capacity to convey comparable execution, they can give the business a shake. But they will also need to know how to market the clunker.

I'm skeptical. The competition in the 250cc segment is fierce and Bajaj has been struggling to make a mark. But unless they’re really bringing something revolutionary to the table it might just be a ‘me too’ product.

Absolutely! Bajaj's ticket to dominating the 250cc segment could be the RS250. With their reputation for providing good bikes for the money, they could very well be the place to go for a sporty style ride that won’t break the bank.
