Will the 2025 Bolero finally get modern safety features?

In recent years, safety has become a big concern for Indian car buyers and newly launched models are coming with advanced features such as multiple airbags, ABS and even ADAS systems. While the current Bolero is strong, it lacks many of these modern amenities of safety. With this 2025 update, the talk is on if Mahindra will finally bring the Bolero up to date with modern safety standards. But it’s not just about regulations, it’s changing consumer expectations and the growing expectation that safety will be a factor in purchase decisions.

About time! Mahindra will have to at least equip the Bolero with multiple airbags and ABS if they want to keep the Bolero relevant.

If you add too many safety features, it will drive the cost up. Affordability is part of the appeal of the Bolero.

I doubt they will add much more than what is needed to fill the regulations, but I don't think they will even come close to fancy. That's still supposed to be a budget workhorse.

Safety shouldn't be a luxury. Since Maruti can offer 6 airbags with the Alto, Mahindra has no excuse with the Bolero.

Safety feature of the Bolero is its tank like build. In the long run, it might make it less reliable by adding electronic nannies.

For crying out loud, it’s 2025! If they don't put modern safety tech in them, they may as well discontinue the brand.

They know Mahindra so who knows. Do you remember how they changed the Thar? The new Bolero could be a safety champion.
