Will Renault bring the sporty Clio RS to India?

The Renault Clio RS (Renault Sport) is a high-performance version of the standard Clio, popular among driving enthusiasts in Europe. It typically features a more powerful engine, sport-tuned suspension, and aggressive styling cues. The idea of Renault bringing this sporty variant to India is intriguing, as it could potentially compete with cars like the Volkswagen Polo GT TSI or the upcoming Hyundai i20 N Line. However, the market for such performance-oriented hatchbacks in India is relatively small, and pricing could be a major challenge. Additionally, factors like fuel efficiency and ground clearance, which are crucial for Indian roads, might need to be adapted for the RS version to be viable in the Indian market.

No way, hot hatches don't sell in India. It'll be way too expensive and impractical for our roads.

I hope they do! We need more affordable performance cars in India. The Clio RS could be a game-changer.

It would be cool, but I doubt it. Renault will probably focus on the regular Clio first to establish the brand.

Maybe as a limited edition or CBU import. Could work as a halo product to generate buzz for the regular Clio.

If priced right, why not? There's a growing enthusiast community in India that would love a proper hot hatch.

They should! It could compete with the Polo GT and create a new niche in the market. Plus, it'd be great for Renault's brand image.

Realistically, it's unlikely. The Clio RS would probably cost as much as a compact SUV, which most Indians would prefer.
