Will Indian consumers appreciate the design of the AFEELA 1?

The AFEELA 1 is a combination of Sony consumer electronics design and Honda automotive styling. There's a futuristic look, with a large digital display on the front grille and inside, a minimalist interior with screens aplenty. This is quite different to the design language we are used to seeing on Indian roads, where either practical rugged vehicles or traditional luxury cars rule the roost. It has its own tastes in the Indian auto market, which loves cars with a big road presence and lots of ornate detail. Meanwhile, understated and tech forward, the AFEELA 1 will either come off refreshingly modern or just too alien for local tastes. Besides, Indian consumers have to consider factors like ground clearance, interior space and ease of maintenance while making a choice.

The AFEELA 1’s ultra-modern styling—gleaming digital grille and minimalist cabin—definitely feels like a bold departure for Indian roads. Curious to see if the tech-savvy crowd embraces it or finds it too radical.

Let’s be honest, at that price point, people will buy it for the brand and tech, not the design. If it has cool features, it could look like a toaster and still sell.

The design is fine, but what about customization? Indians love to personalize their cars. If AFEELA has good customization options, it will be a winner.

It might look out of place in smaller towns, but it will be a hit in metro cities. It's all about the target market.

Practicality is what I'm more concerned with. Does it have enough ground clearance for our speed bumps? Can the AC run in 45°C summers?

You're both wrong. This design will go crazy with the tech savvy younger generation. It's like driving an iPhone!

Nah, nothing too subtle for Indian tastes. We want our cars loud and flashy with lots of chrome. This is a minimalist design, won’t cut it.

Among auto-rickshaws? It'll stand out like a spaceship! While the futuristic look will probably be loved by some, others will probably find it too weird.
