Will Bajaj Update its Boxer BM series?

<p>Hello, I would like to find out if Bajaj has plans to update its Boxer BM Series currently at BM 150. This is because in developing countries like Uganda, they are more preferred due to low fuel consumption, easy maintenance, and a sturdy durable build that takes a beating in all conditions (mainly rural areas with the worst road networks). Does any insider know of an upcoming Bajaj Boxer BM 160 or BM 180? Lots of thanks, Daniel, Uganda.

The Boxer BM150 has no planned change for the engine or an upgrade to 160 cc or 180 cc. The bike would remain the same for a lot more time as Bajaj Auto's is currently focusing on its 200 cc and 400 cc segment lineup, launching new bikes here in India. it is more focused currently toward the performance segment as its tie-up with KTM has opened the new doors of more refined and improved Pulsar's. The Boxer may anytime get the updated 16.8 BHP 149 cc engine but chances are low as the same would put the cost factor on high side, with the fuel efficiency going as low to 40 kmpl. Bajaj may introduce new adventure series bikes worldwide, with better suspension and good performance. That would not be all, the adventure bikes would be offered at much lower prices than the high price tag bikes available currently worldwide.
