Yamaha Alba was discontinued because it had poor sales as compared to the sales required for continuing a product over a span of certain years. It has a good number of sales for sometime and then everything started to change. For example, people have been buying Hero Splendor since nearly 2 decades and they have made just minor changes to the overall design of the bike. They will not discontinue the same because it is selling in big numbers. Yamaha products are sold in small numbers when compared to Hero or Honda bikes.
