Why do so many people buy Nissan Sunny as their first car?

It appears that the Nissan Sunny is a car that many people buy as their very first car, in countries like India and parts of the Middle East. Why is this particular model so attractive to new drivers? What is it that makes it so affordable, easy to maintain, or is it something else entirely? We will try to find out the reasons for the popularity of the Sunny among novice drivers. What are the features that make it more beginner friendly from other cars in this class? Or is it that it is available everywhere and pushed by car dealerships? It would be interesting to try to understand why so many people go for the Sunny as their first car purchase.

Simple, the Sunny is cheap, reliable, and easy to drive. Ideal for someone who’s just getting started and doesn’t want the hassle of complicated maintenance or the expense.

I believe it is more about availability than choice. It's one of the cheapest new cars you can buy in so many places, so people just buy it without even thinking about anything else.

A big selling point is the spacious interior. The Sunny, however, delivers on that front, and is ideal for new drivers who want to be able to carry friends and family in comfort.

This is not just a first car. The low running costs and fuel efficiency of the Sunny make it popular with ride sharing drivers as well.

I'd say it's not a great first car. Because it is so underpowered, it doesn't teach good driving habits. It’s also good for new drivers to learn in something with a bit more oomph.

It’s decently safe for its price point, which will likely appeal to new drivers (or their parents) who are worried about accidents.

Let’s be real, most people pick it because it’s what the dealership sells. It's not that the car is good, it's just that sales tactics are aggressive.
