Infotainment system is now a crucial part of the modern vehicles as the interface for entertainment, navigation and vehicle information. This is a particularly notable feature in the Tata Harrier Dark Edition, as it’s placed front and center while expectations are high given its premium positioning. In the past, users have told stories of praise for Tata's fleet of infotainment, but also of suffering frustration in regards to performance of the system. How does the Harrier Dark Edition grade on responsiveness, UI and feature completeness of its system? What makes it unique compared to competitors? All of the factors that can be considered are smartphone connectivity, quality of the sound system, and how easy it is to use while you’re driving. Moreover the Dark Edition might also have a themed interface which might have a different user experience than other editions. We should investigate ways in which this system improves or worsens the driving and ownership experience of the Harrier Dark Edition.

My Harrier Dark Edition’s infotainment system is decent but nothing mind blowing. While it's responsive enough for you to use it day in, day out, you will hit the odd stutter sometimes, particularly when used with Android Auto.

The Harrier’s system does feel slightly dated, compared to my friend’s Hyundai Creta. It is not as slick interface and the screen resolution is not as good. But it gets the job done.

In fact, the Harrier's infotainment is one I actually prefer over some of the more complicated systems out there. While driving, it's easy enough to use and straightforward, which is what matters most to me.

The JBL system inside the top spec Dark Edition sounds fantastic. In this price range, it's one of the best stock audio systems I've ever heard.

My biggest gripe is that there’s no wireless Apple CarPlay. It should be a standard feature of a car in this price bracket in 2024.

It's nice to see that the Dark Edition has a themed interface. It goes with the exterior aesthetic and completes the whole car and makes the whole car look cohesive. These little details make it special.

The system has frozen or rebooted at some point for no reason. It doesn’t happen often, but when it does, it’s really annoying, especially if you’re using navigation.

What I really like is the 360 degree view of the camera. It’s really good for parking and getting around in tight spaces. This is not something that many cars in this segment give you.
