I owned both, and I would say that the Himalayan is a better touring option in India. It's easier to fix in remote areas and also does better on rough roads.

KTM all the way for me. The ride modes and quick shifter make long-distance riding so much more enjoyable and less tiring.

Especially with luggage, the Himalayan feels planted and stable. I use this as my serious touring adventure go-to.

I've done long trips on both, and I like the KTM better. With the adjustable suspension, you can adjust the perfect setup for various loads and road conditions.

That really depends on what kind of touring you do. But if you’re mostly on paved roads and like to ride fast, the KTM is better. If you’re more into mixed terrain and a more laid-back pace, then go with the Himalayan.

The 390 Adventure SW is great, but for true touring, the Himalayan’s more upright position and softer suspension win for me.

For long-distance touring, I’d pick the Himalayan any day. It is more relaxed, offers better wind protection, and, over long hours in the saddle, is less fatiguing.

Hands down, the KTM is better for touring. It’s faster, more comfortable on highways, and the electronics make for safer long rides.
