Yamaha XMAX 125 cc scooter unfortunately would not be launched in India as Yamaha plans for a 150 cc scooter as most Indian scooter are limited to 125 cc and comparing these machines with them would make a bigger price gap, making them less practical for the masses. With 150 cc engine, Yamaha could easily differentiate between their new comer and the existing market of scooters in India. The 125 cc XMAX comes with 14.1 BHP and 11.94 NM of torque, making it good for a liquid cooled and fuel injected engine. Yamaha has planned for SMAX, which is a 150 cc scooter with more torque and slightly more power for a smooth ride.
