Maruti Suzuki will soon launch the diesel variant of its popular hatchback, the Alto K10 in India. The most probable launch would be in 2016 as Maruti Suzuki is currently focusing on Nexa dealership additions. The diesel motor has been successfully developed and used in the new Celerio, which returns a mileage of 27.62 kmpl. The car gets a 793cc, 2-cylinder diesel engine producing 47 BHP and 125 NM of torque. Rest of the details would be kept the same as a standard Alto K10. It would be price slightly above INR 4 lakh and may get a introductory price below the same.
