When will Hero Leap be available in Indian market and what will be its expected price?
Hero Leap has no plans for its launch in the mass market, till the technology behind the scooter gets fully tested and recognized, with no expected price by the company as its cost of production and research can not be calculated before the completion of the whole process. The Leap has a 125 cc petrol motor with an addition of 8 KW electric motor attached to it. The automatic gearbox of the scooter will be the traditional one, with an availability of 240 mm disc brake for the front in the concept model. The rear gets the 130 mm drum brake. The front gets telescopic suspension whereas the rear comes with a unit swing type. Due to its battery setup, the vehicle weighs 140 kg, with a mere 3 liter of fuel tank. The front gets a 13 inch tyre, with the rear having a 11 inches of rubber around it.
