Maruti 800 diesel would never be launched in India as Maruti Suzuki has discontinued the 800 from its product lineup a long time ago. The company has already developed a 793 cc, 2-cylinder diesel engine producing 47 BHP @ 3500 rpm and 125 NM @ 2000 rpm. The engine has been fitted into Maruti Suzuki Celerio and the car delivers a mileage of 27.62 kmpl. The engine is further going to be used in Maruti Alto and WagonR, making them more efficient in terms of fuel consumption. You can get the new Celerio diesel for a price tag of INR 4,65,000 with the top variant ranging at INR 5,71,000.
