What is the visibility and safety at night of the Nexon Dark Edition?
The all black exterior of the Tata Nexon Dark Edition has drawn flak and has been questioned that it would be visible on the road especially during night driving. There are worries from some drivers that the car would be less visible to other motorists in low light, raising the risk of accidents. The discussions about whether Dark Edition owners need additional safety measures or modifications has followed. However, proponents say that modern car lighting systems are sufficient, even with car color. It also becomes a debate in the interior, with some users complaining the dark interior prevents them from finding the controls or objects within the car at night. The discussions have also started around finding the balance between aesthetic appeal and practical considerations of safety when designing a car. These are factors owners and potential buyers are considering against the undeniable style statement the Dark Edition makes on the road.

Some getting used to, but I now prefer the dark interior for night driving. Less glare and reflection.

Actually, the contrast between the black body and the lights makes the body more distinguishable at night. Feels safer to me.

Just another dark car on the road. All you have to do is drive responsibly and you’ll be fine.

The problem is not the exterior, it’s the dark interior. Night time is tough, so I had to add some ambient lighting to see things better.

At night it's definitely less visible. Just for peace of mind, I added some reflective strips.

Never had an issue. The lights are bright enough for headlights and taillights. It’s just people overthinking it.
