What is the resale value of the Bada Dost i4 CBC in comparison to the competition?

Question

Many business owners consider resale value a very important factor when investing in a commercial vehicle. Being a new entrant in the market, Ashok Leyland Bada Dost i4 CBC has raised questions about its long term value retention. Brand reputation, vehicle reliability, maintenance costs and the market demand are factors that influence the resale value of the car. It is said by some owners that the vehicle is popular, which leads to some strong residual values, and others say that there is a risk of depreciation. The resale prospects may also be affected by the availability of spare parts and after sales service in different regions. To dig into the experiences of those who have sold or tried to sell their Bada Dost i4 CBC, and compare their experiences with competitors in the used commercial vehicle market.

I know that the resale value is pretty solid in my experience. With fuel prices increasing, the used market of the Bada Dost i4 CBC is a big selling point due to its fuel efficiency.

@krishna-bo · Answer

It's okay, but not great. In fact, some of the modifications I made to my business actually decreased the resale value. The buyers wanted more stock vehicles.

@rahul-kanj · Answer

Resale has been positive for me. It seems that Bada Dost i4 CBC’s reliability helps keeping its value. And the low running costs are good for second hand buyers.

@aditi-vars · Answer

Honestly, I'm a bit disappointed. It seems to be depreciating steeper than I thought. Maybe Ashok Leyland is updating the model so as to make the older versions less desirable.

@richa-mitt · Answer

I believe the resale value is a hit or miss. I got a decent price, as there is high demand for these vehicles in my area. This might differ depending on where you are located and the local market conditions.

@rahul-sahu · Answer

Being a fleet operator, Bada Dost i4 CBC retains its value better than some other brands. The trick is to keep it in good condition - mind you, I got a good price for mine with lower mileage and good service history.

@bhawesh-ku · Answer

Eh, not a high resale value, I guess. After 2 years, I tried to sell mine and the offers were lower than I expected. It seems like there is no shortage of these, and the prices are going down.

@abhinav-gu · Answer

This past week, I sold my 3 year old Bada Dost i4 CBC, which came out unexpectedly well. I got about 65% of what I paid for it for a commercial vehicle.
