The reason behind the delay of Yamaha XMAX is the absence of the segment of scooters which XMAX belongs to, which even more specifically requires extensive testing and cost cutting measures to bring the scooter in an Indian accepted pricing values. These types of scooters retails for $4000 and above, making them nearly INR 2,50,000 for the Indian market. The prices are to be taken down with more localization and component replacements, which takes really a lot of time for the manufacturers. The XMAX comes with a motorbike inspired design, making it different from huge Italian design scooters.
