What is the one mod to do on every FZ-07?

by Sukhmandeep Kaurover 1 year ago0 views9 comments
FZ-07 owners are motorcycle enthusiasts that love to customize and upgrade their rides. New owners looking to alter their bikes often find themselves at a loss as to where to begin, due to a wide array of aftermarket options. Either they’re suggesting performance upgrades like exhaust systems or ECU flashes, or some comfort mods like seats and handle bar adjustments. Another camp advocates for having the bike stock, at least at first, in order to take in the entire original design. The debate around what is an 'essential' mod covers a range of elements of motorcycle ownership, from performance gains to aesthetics, comfort improvements and even factors influencing the resale value of a bike. This is one of those questions that tends to spark a pretty lively discussion about how to balance the bike's strengths while improving the perceived weaknesses and overall philosophy of motorcycle customization.

Forget all that fancy stuff. Get some good gear first. The best mod is whatever keeps you safe and comfortable while riding.

And honestly, these are just some bar end mirrors. They look better, provide a clearer view, and don’t vibrate nearly as much as the stock ones.

ECU flash, for sure. It makes throttle response a little smoother and provides you with a little bit more power. It's like riding a completely new bike.

I'd say a good set of tires. I'm okay with the stock ones, but upgrading to some high quality rubber will change this thing's handling for the better.

No question, Fender eliminator kit. That stock rear fender is downright ugly and kills the lines of the bike.

Don't mod it at all! At least give it a few months to really get a feel for the bike if you ride it stock. Afterwards you will know what you really want to change.

So the first thing I did was swap out the seat. After an hour, you get uncomfortable on the stock one and a good aftermarket seat makes all the difference on a long ride.

First thing, forget the exhaust, get some frame sliders. Before you start making it prettier or louder, protect your investment.

Exhaust, hands down. The stock one is just way too quiet and doesn't give the engine the justice it deserves. It’ll wake up the bike’s personality, plus.
