What is the most underrated feature of the Alfa Romeo 8C Spider?

by @sukhmandeepover 1 year ago0 views8 answers
Although the Alfa Romeo 8C Spider is generally admired for its beautiful design and formidable engine, there are parts of the car that aren’t quite as celebrated, but are integral to the car’s appeal. These could be the subtle design elements or engineering choices or even driving characteristics that are not obvious on first but nevertheless augment the ownership experience. You may not notice some of these things until you spend time with the car, and some may be lost in the shuffle of its more prominent attributes. By identifying these underrated aspects we get a sense of how thoughtful the 8C Spider’s design is, and what makes it different from other sports cars from the era.

How it deals with low speeds. Unlike some high strung super cars, it’s actually quite docile and easy to drive in the city.

The brakes are incredible. And the stopping power is just as impressive as everyone talks about the engine.

The build quality is top-notch. It all feels solid and it’s all put together; that’s not always the case with limited production cars.

The steering feel is phenomenal. It’s not something people talk about often, but it provides so much feedback from the road.

It's more visible than you would think. Unlike many supercars, the 8C doesn't feel like you're peering out from a mailbox.

A car in this class has decent space trunk. The great news is, you can actually pack for a weekend getaway.

For a sports car, the seats are ridiculously comfortable. You don't feel beat up after long trips.

The level of sound insulation with the top up. Surprisingly quiet for a convertible, it’s a great car to take on long drives.
