Is the engine same or is having difference in its performance sound etc.?

The engines of these models are exactly same. The feature list makes the difference, not the engine or performance. Choosing Swift is a nice decision, as it a reliable vehicle to own. It comes in Ldi, Vdi and Zdi as diesel options with no engine difference. The Maruti Suzuki has recently launched a new model of Swift named SP version, contact your near dealer for more information. Cheers!

The engine and performance values of both the Swift LDi and VDi remains exactly the same as each other. Both the cars get a 1.3L (1248 cc) diesel motor producing 74 BHP and 190 NM of torque. The mileage for both the cars remain same at 25.2 kmpl. Even the important dimensions like ground clearance and overall length, width & height remains the same for both the vehicles. The difference on the outside can be seen in the form of black door handles and rear view mirrors of the LDi whereas on the inside, you can see the manual windows and an empty music player space on the dashboard. Even the tachometer is missing from the LDi. The best option is to go for the VDi as total cost of the additions like central locking and other features are much higher than the price difference between them.
