In this connected world, we expect commercial vehicles too to come with a range of technology features. Infotainment systems and smartphone connectivity, advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) and telematics, can all help improve efficiency, safety, and driver comfort. Let’s see how the Mahindra Supro Profit Truck fares in this department. Is its tech where you’d expect from this segment or is it lagging? Now let’s talk about what tech features have been the most useful in day-to-day operations, and what glaring omissions there have been. Has technology in the Supro had an impact on your business operations or your driver satisfaction? Discuss your experience in using the truck’s tech features verses other trucks you’ve used or considered.

I’d say as someone who isn’t super tech savvy, I actually like the fact that the Supro keeps things simple. It doesn’t feel overwhelming, while still having all the essential features. All that said, I wish the voice recognition was better for hands free operation.

The tech features are a little lacking compared to some competitors, I find. The touchscreen is a little small, and at times laggy. It does also have a reverse camera, but I really miss parking sensors when parking in tight spaces.

The telematics system is just the standout feature for me. I can now monitor my small fleet's fuel efficiency and be able to track the vehicle's location in real time and that has been a game changer. Although, the user interface is not intuitive enough.

Nothing special, ok. There are the basic features, but I have used competitors with more advanced systems. I really wish that it had built in GPS navigation, it would make route planning so much easier for my delivery business.

I’m honestly impressed with the tech in the Supro. Bluetooth connectivity for receiving and making calls on the go makes life easy, though the infotainment system is surprisingly good for a commercial vehicle. It is also nice to have a digital instrument cluster.
