What is the best exhaust upgrade for the FZ1 Fazer?
It’s not uncommon for FZ1 Fazer owners to upgrade their exhaust as a mod to improve sound and maybe even performance. There are a lot of choices out there, from slip ons to full systems, each with their own flavor of sound, weight savings, and power gains. Riders often argue over different brands and styles of bells, and the discussion often includes price, quality, noise, and how much of an effect the bell has on the character of the bike. Some want the loudest pipes they can have, others a subtle improvement in tone. It also discusses whether some exhausts need ECU remapping or fuel controller installation for best performance.

The FZ1 has some great options with Scorpion. Good value for sound, performance and price.

I love my Arrow exhaust. Not obnoxiously loud, but has a nice deep tone. Looks clean too.

Whatever you get, don’t forget to get a Power Commander or something similar to control your fuel. Almost all aftermarket exhausts need a remap to run properly.

The stock exhaust isn't terrible honestly. Just save your money for suspension upgrades. In either case, they'll make a bigger difference in how the bike rides.

I went for the Delkevic system and I am very pleased. It's sounds great, way lighter than stock, and didn't break the bank.

There is no need to go for a full system. For half the cost, a good slip on like the Two Brothers or M4 will give you 90% of the benefit.

I love the Akrapovic system, I am a huge fan. The quality and sound are unmatched but it’s pricey. Really wakes up the bike.

Yoshimura all the way. Nice sound, not too loud and decent power gains. It also looks sick on the FZ1.
