Unfortunately the mileage figures of 12 kmpl for the city and 15 kmpl for the highway are correct with a maximum possible increment of 1 kmpl in both the driving conditions, making them a max 13 kmpl and 16 kmpl. The Brio get its power from 1.2 L, Advanced i-VTEC engine producing 88 BHP @ 6000 rpm and 109 NM @ 4500 rpm. The car is a really fun to ride machine with smooth driving and excellent running dynamics. If you wish to get a perfect petrol hatch, it won't disappoint you at any moment. It will match the expenses of a diesel powered car if you ride below 1,000 kms a month and would suit your interest to the full. It even gets a 5-speed automatic variant, which comes with a price tag of INR 6,12,900.
