What can we expect for the real world range of the Aftek Motors Eone in different Indian cities?
Aftek Motors says the Eone has a range of 70km to 100km but we all know that real world range is always different from the official figures. I would like to know how the Eone’s range fares in different Indian cities with their particular traffic conditions, climates and terrain. So does it actually deliver close to 100 km in ideal conditions? How much does the range suffer from heavy traffic? And what about hilly areas or extreme temperatures? I would like to hear from Eone owners across various regions of India about what their range on a charge is like. How does it match the official claims? Are you seeing any noticeable differences depending on the riding style, the weather, or anything else? And what about those who’ve had their Eone for a while, did you notice any changes in the range over time? Potential buyers trying to figure out whether the Eone will satisfy their daily commuting needs could really benefit from this kind of real world data.
I live in Bangalore and get around 80-85 km on full charge. That's not bad here, because traffic here is brutal. In the rainy season it drops to about 70 km.
Mumbai rider here. For sure, the claimed range is optimistic. In normal conditions I average about 65-70 km. Stop and go traffic really sucks the battery.
In Pune, I'm getting close to the claimed range - 90-95 km. I ride pretty conservatively and it's relatively flat here, but... In more challenging conditions I would imagine it would be less.
Delhi NCR user. The range is killed by summer heat – I’m lucky if I get 60 km when it’s really hot. Winter is closer to 80 km, better. Neither does the air pollution.
I have had my Eone for a year in Chennai. It started out getting about 85 km per charge, now it's more like 75 km. Not a huge drop but definitely noticeable. Perhaps the humidity here plays a role.
The range is decent, around 75-80 km, Kolkata rider. However, if I use the headlight a lot or ride aggressively it drops significantly. It’s really a baby to get close to the claimed range.
The range takes a big hit here, I'm in hilly Shimla. We were lucky to get 60km on a good day. The battery is constantly drained by the constant uphill. Not the best choice for very hilly areas.
Hyderabad user here. Cooler months I get about 85 km, peak summer 70-75 km. The eco mode helps save a few extra miles of range but it's excruciatingly slow.
I rode my Eone in Ahmedabad and Surat. Surat (about 90 km) got better range than Ahmedabad (75-80 km). Surat is flatter terrain and this makes a big difference.
I average 80 km per charge on Jaipur rider. It's pretty consistent year round but I do definitely notice a drop if I'm carrying a passenger or heavy loads.
