This is the reason why Bajaj discontinued the Platina 110 ABS so soon.

As a game changer in the commuter segment, Bajaj Platina 110 ABS was launched with much fanfare as it brought the safety features at a pocket friendly price. But its sudden disappearance from the market has left many potential buyers and industry watchers scratching their heads. Different theories are swirling about - from production issues to a lack of demand, or even possible safety concerns. There are some who believe it is a temporary hiatus to clear existing non ABS stock, and others who are of the opinion that Bajaj is getting ready for a bigger upgrade. The quick discontinuation also questions the ability to sell advanced safety features to the price sensitive commuter segment and whether Indian consumers would be willing to pay a premium for the same on entry level bikes.

Maybe maintenance was a nightmare for dealers. Budget bikes with complex systems are a service headache.

I think it's a regulatory thing. Perhaps they rushed to bring the safety certification online and had to dial it back.

They're likely clearing old stock. Now that the non-ABS models are sold out, they’ll likely bring back the ABS version full time.

Probably just a marketing stunt. Make it hype, release it in limited supply and then bring it back as a 'new improved' version later.

I heard the ABS unit had some quality problems. Before relaunching, Bajaj might have fixed it.

Maybe it didn't sell well? For example, people usually buy 110cc bikes because they are super price conscious. Perhaps the ABS version was too expensive for the target market.

I bet chip shortages are the reason. Those fancy chips are what ABS needs, and they're probably putting it on higher end models, sadly.
